Much-loved Edinburgh-based tropical venue and club night Samedia Shebeen present their first ever NYE party. The clubs resident DJ team will be going head to head with Glasgow’s Strawberry Jam Soundsystem who bring their expertly-honed rig over for maximum bass pressure. The two teams will have a friendly face-off as they deliver the best in tropical beats, afrobeat, latin bass, samba, baile funk, cumbia, dancehall and other spicy flavours aimed squarely at the dancefloor. The icing on top will be a live set from Sankofa Beats – a top quality troupe of West African percussion players and dancers.
Samedia and Strawberry Jam collaborate together on one of the most popular micro-venues at Boomtown Fair – their mix of music, décor and impeccable soundsystem is a winner with the festival crowds down there, and for the first time this deadly combination is coming to Edinburgh for NYE.
